On this, your happy day of Graduation, I’d like you to take a moment to consider a present you are likely to receive in preparation of your college life: not the alarm clock from an Auntie, nor the six-pack of beer from your cousin Mike, but The Dictionary. It is a bit of an old fashion present, but one that still holds— when a young man is becoming learned, expanding his horizons, he needs to improve himself and expand his vocabulary. That is why dictionary sales often go up during this time of year.
